In September, nearly two years after her death, the LAPD announced that Adame and Galaz had been charged with Karissa Rajpaul’s murder, as well as three felony counts of practicing medicine without certification. Authorities say they recovered tens of thousands of dollars in cash from a search warrant executed at the two women’s home. According to medical records obtained by Rolling Stone, as well as half a dozen on-the-record sources, Karissa was far from the only person whom Adame and Galaz harmed with their procedures.
