Rob and Michele Reiner’s children Jake and Romy broke their silence in a statement on Tuesday after their brother Nick was charged with first-degree murder following the death of his parents on Dec. 14. “We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave," they wrote. Los Angeles County’s top prosecutor said Tuesday his office is filing two charges of first-degree murder against Nick Reiner, the son of legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner and photographer-producer Michele Singer Reiner.
