Why Sanjay Dutt turns pure vegetarian in Jaipur

It is a well-known fact that Sanjay Dutt has a great weakness for butter chicken, chicken tikka, and nalli nihari. The actor has even created his own signature chicken dish called ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’, which is sold at Noor Mohammadi Hotel on Mohammed Ali Road in Mumbai. Sanjay Dutt is a patron of this eatery (also famous for its nalli nihari, which is the actor’s favourite dish there) since 1986, and he first shared his special chicken recipe, with restaurant owner Khalid Hakimi and his chefs, in 2010.

 

 However, this hard-core non-vegetarian turns pure vegetarian whenever he visits Jaipur and stays at his best friend Prakash Raj Bansal’s place. Bansal told DNA: ‘Since Sanjay is aware that we all are vegetarian, he insists that only vegetarian food is served.” Talking about Sanjay’s respect for other people’s values, sentiments, and religious practices, Bansal said: “Before leaving Mumbai he calls my wife and asks her to prepare his favourite yellow dal.

 “Once by mistake, I ordered a non-vegetarian dish for him. He warned me to not do that again and told me that even if you’re hosting US president don’t compromise on your family values.”
