Pictures of Pakistani actress Saba Qamar of the Hindi Medium fame and Fardeen Khan, son of late Feroz Khan have gone viral for different reasons. Saba was attacked by trolls when her pictures of wearing a see-through shirt with a cigarette in her hand were leaked on the social media. And like Mahira Khan, Saba also faced similar sermons of how a Pakistani girl should behave. Some even said that it was against the “Pakistani culture”.
What Saba is facing today,, Fardeen too have undergone this when in May 2016, Fardeen faced flak from trolls for conisderable weight gain. A few photos had surfaced online that showed him a little chubbier than before and soon enough, he was the target of contempt, jokes and memes.
But recently, he silenced all the trolls when he was snapped at the airport on Sunday looking more like his former self now. Fardeen, clad in black, looked fit.
However, good news is that Saba’s friends and colleagues in the industry came to her defense via their social media posts.
Adnan Siddiqui, who starred with Saba in popular TV serial Maat, took to social media and shared that he is very upset with how people are treating this whole issue. He wrote: “Came through what’s being called BTS images of my colleague and friend Saba Qamar’s recently done photoshoot which is spreading on social media like wildfire, I’m deeply saddened by this act, this is not us and we shouldn’t take pride in it in any manner! I totally condemn this and wouldn’t want to highlight the name of the man behind it but I’m not going to work with him or anything associated with him ever!”
Similarly, Osman Khalid Butt, Saba’s co-star in the recently concluded drama serial Baaghi, also came forward in support of her. He has always been very vocal against statements that humiliate women in any way.
