A talented Malaysian make-up artist known on Instagram as Alha Alfa (@alhaalfa) has become the talk of the town after his amazing make-up transformation video went viral.

Using only his trusty make-up essentials, Alha transformed himself into Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan – and “won” the internet.

The 29-year-old, whose real name is Abdul Al-Halim Mohd Al-Fadzil, said that the idea for the transformation came spontaneously to him after watching a video of actress Uqasha Senrose miming the words to a Bollywood song.

“Feeling the Bollywood vibes from watching Uqasha’s video, I Googled images of Shah Rukh Khan, and that’s when I thought of giving it a shot and see whether I could really do this.

“Honestly, I never expected that the video would go viral, because I just did it for fun,” said Alha when contacted by The New Straits Times.

His Instagram followers couldn’t help but gush over the uncanny resemblance when Alha posted an image of the end result, with a side-by-side comparison with the popular actor.

In just 24 hours, Alha’s photo garnered more than 13,000 likes, while his transformation video has been watched more than 101,000 times.

Alha’s passion for make-up developed during his days at UiTM Seri Iskandar, Perak, where he was as an interior design student.

“I needed to make extra pocket money for myself, so I ventured into make-up work, associating myself with photography students who needed their models to be dolled up,” he said.

Alha’s passion turned into a full-blown career, and he has been plying his trade for the past nine years. He has also made a name for himself, and has built a clientele which includes celebrities such as Ayda Jebat, Nad Zainal, Nelydia Senrose and Hanis Zalikha.
