Imran Khan, the playboy cricketer-turned-politician, is in the news again! The leader of Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and considered to be the future prime minister of Pakistan, Imran is heading towards the dubious milestone of “hat-trick of divorces”.
According to a Pakistani newspaper, Imran’s third marriage with his spiritual adviser Bushra Maneka is in trouble.
It says that ‘Bushra Begum’ as Imran calls her had left Bani Gala, his palatial house on the outskirts of Islamabad, more than a month ago over the disagreement with Imran on her son ( from her first marriage) overstaying at Bani Gala.
It may be mentioned here that Imran married Bushra Maneka (also known as Pinki Pir) on February 18, 2018, ending months of speculation. Maneka is in her late 40s and has five children from her first marriage.
According to Pakistani Urdu paper Ummad, Imran had put one condition on ‘Bushra Begum’ that none of her children will stay at Bani Gal for more than a month. The paper says on this issue ‘Bushra Begum’ has left Bani Gala and returned to her ancestral town of Pakpatan district, some 250km from Lahore, which is known for the shrine of Baba Farid Ganj Shakar.
The paper says Imran’s second marriage with British-born TV anchor Reham Khan which lasted for just 10 months also ended because of this reason. Like ‘Bushra Begum’, Reham Khan too had grown children from her first marriage.
Meanwhile, a video has gone viral in Pakistan in which former Pakistani cricketer Saeed Anwar, who has now turned a preacher, is seen saying: “Imran Khan can’t handle even one wife, how can he handle the country?”
